US NEWS & WORLD REPORT'S BEST HOSPITAL LIST INCLUDES NOH
Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital continues to add to its list of recognitions as it was honored for the first time with the distinction of one of America's best hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. The magazine's annual Best Hospitals list ranked NOH 39th on the list of top hospitals in orthopaedics. NOH is the only Nebraska hospital to be recognized in the 2010 U.S. News & World Report's Best Hospitals rankings.
Through our ongoing focus on customer service and providing high quality care, we have been able to demonstrate the success of Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital, not just locally but on a regional and national basis, states Tom Macy, Chief Executive Officer of Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital. The success we have seen in six years has been based on an engaged medical staff and dedicated staff. The results demonstrate that our model works by focusing on complete care for the orthopaedic patient.
We're extremely excited and proud to be recognized and given such a prestigious honor, said Charles Burt, MD, an orthopaedic surgeon and Chairman of the Board of NOH. We have strived for excellence every day since we opened the doors of the hospital. This ranking validates the goals we set for ourselves and we will continue to work to provide excellent care for our patients.
Out of 4,852 hospitals across the country considered, only the top 152 hospitals were selected for the 2010 America's Best Hospital's report. The report focused on 16 areas of specialty from cancer to urology. The full list of America's Best Hospitals can be found at http://health.usnews.com/best-hospitals and the magazine itself hits newsstands July 27.
NOH was recently also honored as one of the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare as well as one of the 40 hospitals in the United States with great orthopaedic and spine programs, both published by Becker's ASC Review/Becker's Hospital Review.
